Situated in an old Newspaper headquarters building, Canvas 7 is located 7 floors above Amsterdam. The hip venue contains a cocktail bar, cafe, restaurant and club. On the lower floors a hotel called the Volkshotel is located.

We highly recommend coming for a drink or to the club. We have not eaten at the restaurant but reviews can be found at this website. Get there early to get a spot on the balcony.

The hotel is industrial in style. The rooms are affordable and individual. The top benefit of being a guest is that you can visit the sauna and hot tubs atop the building. This would be a perfect location for a couple visiting Amsterdam who like something different, creative and away from the main tourist areas.
